Thank You For Joining Us - 06-06-2021

Aloha,  Thank you for joining us last Sunday.  It was good to connect with you and to hear how you have a long-standing relationship with Living Faith Baptist Church.   You have caught us in the middle of our "Make Disciples" Series.   Jesus said,  There are two invitations Jesus calls us to embrace.  First, He asks us to be his disciple.   If you are already a follower of Jesus, remind yourself daily of this awesome privilege.  Second, He calls us to make disciples.   He wants us to see that every person is a potential follower of Christ.  No matter where you go, remind yourself of the privilege of being called a child of God, and let's obey Him by sharing Jesus with others.   Here at Living Faith Baptist Church, we desire that you grow in Christ.  You may join us on Saturday prayer, online small groups and discipleships and online service.  Get connected with us through livingfaithhawaii.org or a...

Thank you for your presence last sunday

Aloha!  God has amazingly blessed us last Sunday because of your presence.  With that, I want to thank you.   Our topic of "Overcoming Fears of Making Disciples"  is a lesson to all of us.  Beyond the principles we learned, God wants to encourage us to develop faith.    Jesus said, If you can have faith as size of a mustard seed, you can ask this mountain to move from here to there and it will move (Matthew 17:20).   We hope and pray that your faith had been strengthened last Sunday. We hope your faith remains strong throughout this week.   Living Faith Baptist Church has many opportunities to strengthen someone's faith:  Small Groups Ministries - different ages and different days of the week Church Prayer Time - Saturday morning via Zoom Worship Service - Sunday, 9:30am Fellowship Groups - Sunday, 10:45am We hope you can find your way back again to Living Faith Baptist Church.  Let Annie at annie.k.y.lam@gmail.com...

What a glorious resurrection Sunday celebration we just had.   Beyond the message, music, presentations, food, and fellowship, your presence made all the difference.  Because of people like you, our church broke the attendance barrier.  It only makes sense to thank you.   In John 20:19-29, the disciples of Jesus gathered after Easter and one of their friends missed the gathering.  The others made an effort to encourage him to come.  He responded,  “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. ”  Kudos to these disciples, this man attended the next week's gathering, and guess who showed up?  Jesus!  Jesus asked him,   “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."  He knelt down and confessed,  "My Lord and My God!"   This is why, for ages,  this man ...

A Call To Prayer - January 2021 Pastors Newsletter

Aloha Dear Church Family,  Last Wednesday, our United States of America went through a horrific ordeal where the Capitol was breached by rioting individuals and eventually killing people.   Succeeding events is a whirlwind of political maneuvers.  Whatever your political conviction, you and I will agree that our nation needs a bigger and greater help.    Our nation is hurting and all of us are affected.   Only Jesus can offer peace and hope to every individual of our beloved country.   This is one of the many promises Jesus gives to those who follow Him.   He said in John 14:27: A CALL TO PRAYER Beginning today, I am calling our congregation to set a time to pray for our nation.  Every day let's pause for a few minutes at 1:20pm until 1/20 (January 20) when the new president is sworn in.    Pray for the outgoing Vice President Mike Pence as he plays a crucial role in the power of balance.  Pray for hi...

Live It Out! Change 1.0

Congratulations!  Your decision last Sunday, to deal with what God wants to change in your life, is where it all begins.   Change requires  making choices .      "Throw off your old sinful nature and your formerly way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception."   (Ephesians 4:22 NLT).   But for changes to happen, it has to be  intentional.   It is not going to happen accidentally.  Let me help affirm your choice by listening to Pastor Rick's devotional on   You Have To Choose To Change.    Where do you go from here?     Prayer.   Identify the area that needs to change and bring them regularly to God in prayer.  You can say,  "Dear God.  I am making today a choice to live your Christ's energetic power and chose to change when I am challenged to do the usual things. Grant me your strength.  In Jesus Name. Amen."     ...

Live It Out! Service 1.0

Congratulations!  Last Sunday you marked in your decision to  take your next step to help in the church.    The church is never complete without you - and in the same token, you can never be complete unless you are serving in the church.   " Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others.  Be good servants of God's gifts of grace"  ( 1 Peter 4:10, NCV) I want to affirm your decision so take the time to read this devotional by Rick Warren on the topic,  Your Significance Comes From Serving .    What's your next step?  I would like to help you discover your next steps, your spiritual gifts, and your place of service in the church.  That might sound a lot but the end of the journey is satisfying.  There's no greater joy in life than to know you are where God wants you to be.    Let's not forget to celebrate what God is doing in your life.  Feel free to reach out to me or to comment be...
